Kia ora,

It’s been a big couple of weeks and honestly, I’m shattered.

I’ve noticed that despite my best intentions, I’ve found myself overloaded with work, business, and life commitments (marathon training is no joke). Therefore, I’m going to do the below exercise this Sunday.

If you’re also planning on some list prioritisation, let me know!

The Deep Dive: Axing To-Do List Guilt 📝✂️

How many tasks/to-dos are in your mind right now?

Now, how many of those do you feel anxious/guilty about?

At a networking lunch yesterday a successful (and incredibly busy) entrepreneur apologised for not replying to my LinkedIn message yet.

I assured her I wasn't worried and we'll catch up when we catch up — and I meant it.

A group of us then got chatting and realised we all were carrying around a high volume of 'list guilt'.

Guilty about not responding to messages, guilty about life admin, guilty about work tasks we keep putting off, the list goes on.

Carrying around task shrapnel is in many ways, part of modern-day life, but we do need to dedicate time to emptying it out from time to time.

Another way of thinking about this is to imagine your mind as a browser.
